Do you want to enjoy a great tasting meal while you are camping you normally has at home. Well, if there is a will, there is a way. You can use camping recipes to prepare good food while camping. Camping recipes can also be prepared deliciously even when facing limitations are that outdoor cooking brings.
If you have frying pans on your camping trip, you can cook great camping recipes that need sauting, like fajitas, stir fry etc. These recipes use ingredients that are easy to make and are also nutritious. If you plan you’re cooking beforehand and do the cutting of vegetables at home before leaving for the camping trip will ease your cooking at the camp site further.
In case you want to prepare steaks at the campsite, all you have to do is just brings a basic grill with you which can be placed over the campfire for a hearty delicious steak or another meal of meat to give you the extra energy during your outdoor activity. Some camping recipes like apple, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are so simple to make, preparing these don’t even need fire and are quite satisfying.

Over the years of camping and hiking you build up a number of camping recipes. We’ve put together a number of dessert recipes we enjoyed over the years to share with our fellow campers. These recipes are great to share and eat around the camp fire at night.
Fruit Cobbler
1 pkg. yellow cake mix 1 large can fruit cocktail Cinnamon Butter
Pour fruit cocktail in bottom of your Dutch oven. Without stirring, spread the cake mix over the fruit cocktail. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste, and some bits of butter. Again, do not stir. Cover the cobbler and bake until the top is lightly browned. It’s About 30 until 40 min. You can use any canned fruit or canned pie filling for variety. If you use pie filling, use 2 cans.
Dutch oven Sugar Cookies
½ cup softened butter ½ tsp. salt 1 cup sugar 2 tsp. Baking powder 1 egg 2 cups flour ½ tsp. Vanilla extract
Combine butter and sugar. Stir well. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop onto a greased aluminum pan. Place on an inverted pie tin to keep from burning. Bake for 6 or 7 min. Dutch oven should be about 400 degrees.
